Vehicle Registration

A Vehicle Information Report (VIR) provides information on the vehicle history, in Alberta only, using the vehicle identification number (VIN).

A VIR provides the following information:

  • Vehicle description (year, make, model, style, colour, fuel type, and odometer reading (if available)
  • Current status (active, salvage, out of province active, etc.)
  • Lienholder information
  • Date and time of the report
  • Vehicle registration dates and where

Fee = $25
