Cancel Licence Plate/Registration

The registered owner of the plate/registration must be present and provide identification. A prorated portion of the unused original registration fee (if any), less a $20.00 Alberta Registry Administration fee will be refunded by mail in the form of a cheque.

If you are currently out of the province you may complete this service by mailing in the Licence Plate Cancellation form along with a cheque or money order.
